Did you know that travel agents whether you visit them in the traditional setting of an office or store front location, or are home based and often come to you are your ally when you are planning your vacation. Often you here friends or office co-workers say how much they saved while looking on line to find a cruise or a land package to Aruba or any vacation destination.
How much did they really save? How many hours did they spend online researching that beach view (not beach front) room that looked so romantic in the mega website of the “travel store”. Did they have to make a significant deposit or possibly full payment that day to get that “special price”
As a professional travel agent I work with all the major cruise lines, many of the smaller niche’ and unique lines as well as a large number of wholesalers and tour operators in the United States, Europe and the Caribbean. What does this mean for YOU the vacationer? It means a lot, I bring an extensive personal knowledge of the cruise industry, a strong understanding of the differences found in the cruise lines and even ships. I continually am taking courses to better my knowledge and understanding of cruises, land vacations, and am continually working with the local, regional and national sales representatives of all my vendors to find you the vacationer the best value for your dollar.
If you noticed, I did not say least expensive vacation I said best VALUE. An inside cabin while cruising the Inside Passage in Alaska is the cheapest way to travel, an outside stateroom with large windows may only be $10 or $15 a person a night more expensive, but would you rather be “holed” up in a room possibly missing the whale broaching 100 yards beyond your window, or the glacier calving? A travel agent can and will take the time to talk with you about the differences between inside, outside, balcony, ocean view beachfront rooms as well as why spending a few more of your hard earned funds can enhance your travel plans to new and higher levels.
